Chinese Hanging Wedding Basket Red & Black Lacquer over wicker.  This is RARE because of the holes in base and mounts on sides for a thong to hang with.  Solid wood base is married to woven bamboo.
Bakul Sia, also known as Sia-Nah in Hokkien and as in Mandarin, it is called 谢蓝 ... is a very commonly used in the Peranakan culture as a thanksgiving basket, that carries kuih muih, favorite dishes or festive goodies or treats especially during festive seasons, birthdays or weddings and sometimes as a gesture of thanking another.
It is very rare nowadays for the Peranakan to carry those and mainly used as a decorative items at home or Peranakan restaurants.
