    Description

    Available for sale is an antique Chinese wedding basket. The basket is two compartments and breaks down into three pieces. The main basket is made up of the handle and the lower compartment, the other two pieces are the upper compartment (stacks on the lower compartment) and the lid (stacks on the upper compartment). The overall height of the basket is 14" and overall width is 13". The main part of the basket is made of wood, the handle is likely made of bamboo.  There are some nicks to the upper rim of each compartment due to age and repeated use and a bit of the banding will need to be reglued (neither of these issues deteact from the overall aesthetics and are only visible when basket is unstacked); otherwise, all things considered, the basket is in relatively good condition.
    It is a handmade basket so expect slight inconsistencies with dimensions and craftmanship.  The finish is somewhere between gloss and matte with a red tone.
