    Description

This antique Chinese handpainted Tuiguang lacquer box was originally collected from Shanxi province, China. The box was handpainted by using "Tuiguang Lacquer" skill with "gilt painting" on top. The painting on the box are the scene of house and garden of a high government official of Ming Dynasty (the people in the painting are dressed in the clothing of Ming Dynasty). The craftsmen used the refined skills of traditional "Gilt Painting" and handpainted the box on the "Tuiguang Lacquer" base. The painting of the garden scenery, traditional Chinese house and people were all gilt painted. The paintings are on four sides of outer box. The paintings on this box are very vivid and delicate. There are 21 people painted on the box. The corners of the box are reinforced and decorated with copper hardware. The box is solid and has been kept in excellent condition.
