Estelle halper pottery bell

Description

This is a unique find.  The artist is one of the great potters of the 20th century; Estelle Halper 1918-1980.  She has had her work exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art  and the American Museum of Natural History among others.  As you can see it is signed inside. The use of the gold embellishment is quite beautiful and I have not seen it used commonly in her other works.  This is one of a kind.  The top apparently came apart at some point and it was reattached.
