Georgii Agricolae National Distillers & Chemical Brochure Titanium Metallurgy. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
An interesting brochure which belonged to my father who was a metallurgical engineer. I believe it's from the 1960's. It contains information about the history of metallurgy and titanium-a "new generation of metals". Includes a reproduction of a  letter from Herbert Hoover, who along with his wife, translated Georgius Agricola's compendium "De Re Metallica"  (written in the 1500's), into English from Latin. Also includes an attached NDCC brochure about Titanium, a separate advertising sheet with a jet photo, and samples of 5 metals.
Overall good condition with the following flaws noted and shown in photos:
-Red sealing wax stamp on copy of hand-written receipt by Georgius Agricola has imprinted color circle on opposite page
-Yellowing from glue used to mount receipt has discolored some following pages
-Staples have rusted-visible in photo of center pages
-Metal samples have tarnished
-A seal of some sort on inner back page of inset NDCC brochure was removed-can still see upper portion in photo
I think the yellowed spots on the front cover and inner photos are from the original documents that were reproduced for the images, but am not sure of that.
