Vintage Bauer Sand Jar Umbrella Stand Olvera St. Pottery Los Angeles, California
It is our belief that this item is made by Bauer. It is unmarked, so please let us know if you feel otherwise.
Artisans on Olvera Street in Los Angeles would purchase Bauer bisque seconds and add their own personal touch to sell at the Olvera Street Market Place during the 1930's and 1940's. These pieces are rare.
This sand jar appears similar in size and shape to Bauer sand jars.
Vase is in good condition with a fair amount of small chips and scuff marks. Please note photos above carefully. Colors include orange, red, green, black, yellow, and white. Image is of a man wearing a sombrero, a cactus, and various colored flags along the top border.
Measurements: 20 Inches Tall. 10 1/4 Inch Diameter on the base and the opening.
